G New SenseA totally free computing solution allows complete control of your equipment, however many times you are going to need specialized driver software that doesn't fit the legal definition of "free". Becauase many of the peripheral devices such as video cards, networking interfaces and other external devices require device drivers or other software that is proprietary to make them work. gNewSense is a a totaly free GNU/Linux distribution, which takes all the proprietary code and references to resisted trademarks out of a popular GNU/Linux distribution. Which means that some of your hardware may not work with it, on the flip side a very large percentage of hardware will work it. We include gNewSense here because it's a great resource for people that want to learn about the internals of the Linux Operating System. gNewSense also has a good toolkit that allows people to roll there own flavor of Linux.
